Submit your manuscript. Half written is fine.
Send us what you have. If our editorial board loves it, we publish it and shelve it in the Western Reflections collection. If it is not a fit for the house, we will tell you honestly and show you exactly what it would take to publish it yourself.
What our editorial board is looking for
Two readers assess every submission independently. These are the five things they are weighing.
A voice worth reading
Sentences that sound like a person. We would rather fix structure than manufacture a voice.
A finishable shape
A clear arc or argument. Partial manuscripts are welcome if the direction is legible.
A reader who wants it
A specific audience we can name and reach, not everyone in general.
Clean rights
The work is yours, unpublished or reverted, with permissions cleared for quoted material.
A house fit
Memoir, history, regional non-fiction and literary fiction sit closest to what we do best.
Either way, you leave with a plan
We publish it and shelve it
You are assigned an editor and a production slot. We carry the editing, design, print, ISBN, distribution and launch, and your book joins the Western Reflections collection.
Publish it yourself, with us behind you
You can still use the house as a service. We take the book from manuscript to every store that matters, and you keep 100% of the rights and royalties.
From submission to shelf
Synopsis, first three chapters or the full file. Word or PDF.
Independent reads against the five criteria, four to six weeks.
An offer, a revise-and-resend, or an honest no with reasons.
Terms in writing, an editor assigned, a production date set.
Print, distribution, launch, and a place in the collection.
Send us the manuscript
No reading fee, no obligation. Everything you send stays confidential and is read only by our editorial board.
