Ebook Marketing Services for Amazon and Kindle, From a Publisher That Makes the Books
Our ebook marketing services cover the Kindle side of a release: the store page, the price, the launch calendar, early readers and ads. We're a publishing house in Lake City, Colorado, and every rate is published. We'd rather fix the page that sells your book than sell you an advertising budget. Our wider book marketing services cover every format.
Why authors trust the house
- Publishing since 1996, from Lake City, Colorado
- Fixed fees quoted up front, no hourly billing
- An NDA signed before work starts
- Your rights stay yours
An ebook has one shelf, and it's a web page
A paperback can win a sale from a table or a friend's hand. An ebook is bought almost entirely on a product page, so that page does all the selling.
Picture what a stranger sees in four seconds: the cover at postage-stamp size, the title, the first lines of the description, the price, a few reviews or none. A cover that reads at that size beats a clever one that doesn't, and a description opening with the reader's problem beats one opening with the author's biography.
Every ad and press mention sends readers to that page, so marketing a weak one means paying twice. If the picture is the problem, a fresh cover design is cheaper than more traffic.
The ebook layer, and what lives on other pages
Four jobs belong here: the Kindle store page, the price, the KDP Select decision, and launch and ads. Everything else has its own home.
Making the file belongs to ebook conversion services and book formatting services. Every-format marketing is on book marketing services, and press releases are on press release writing services.

Ebook marketing services start with your Kindle store page, $350 per book
This is our cheapest job and the one with the most leverage. The listing and metadata fix sets your categories, fills all seven keyword slots and writes a description to the retailer's limits.
Some of that is Amazon's own rulebook. KDP allows up to seven keywords or short phrases, and advises searching Amazon with each one before you publish and writing them in the order a customer would type them. A KDP book is placed in 3 categories.
Our view as a publisher: pick a category by reading what sits on that shelf and asking whether your cover looks at home there. Write the description for a phone screen: short paragraphs, a hook, who it's for, and a last line that asks for the sale. The wider method is on our book marketing services page, and the free keyword and category planner lets you try it first.
Amazon also mentions A+ content, which adds images, text and comparison tables to a detail page. You can add that yourself. It isn't on our price list.

Ebook price and royalty option: setting the number that earns the sale
Amazon changed its ebook pricing band this year. KDP's list price requirements for ebooks say that, effective July 7, 2026, the 70% royalty option price band is $2.99 to $12.99 on Amazon.com, up from $2.99 to $9.99. The $2.99 minimum and the 35% royalty option are unchanged. Delivery costs still apply to the 70% option. KDP shows an estimated payout for each royalty option at your chosen list price before you publish.
KDP says you don't have to change a price you already set. Price is a signal about the book, so we don't hunt for a magic number. Weigh royalty against what you want, reach or income, then decide. Try your own figures in our royalty calculator.

KDP Select: a decision to make on purpose
Per what KDP Select includes, it's a free 90-day program for Kindle ebooks only. Enrolling puts the book in Kindle Unlimited automatically and makes it eligible for Free Book Promotions and Kindle Countdown Deals, which run only on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk.
The question we put to every author is a business one. Do you want to commit this ebook to Amazon for now, or have it on Apple Books, Kobo, Barnes and Noble and your own site as well? Enrollment has requirements, so read them on KDP first, including what they mean for selling elsewhere.
A promotion can lift a book for a few days. It can't make a weak page sell. For setup steps, see our KDP guide.

Advance readers and honest reviews, $900
An ebook is the easy format to hand someone before launch day, so this job sits here. We recruit and brief early readers, then follow up so those who finish can write honest reviews.
Readers are asked, never paid for a rating, and free to say what they think. A reader who gets a free copy should say so. We can't promise any number of reviews or any score. For the free version, here's how to get reviews without breaking the rules.

An ebook launch plan, $750
The launch plan is a dated 90 day calendar for the four months around publication, with who does each part. For a Kindle release it settles when the store page goes final, when advance readers get the file, when the book goes live, when you look at the first numbers, and when you decide about KDP Select or a promotion.
A plan is a calendar and a set of decisions; it doesn't make anyone buy. The free guide to the ninety days that matter shows its shape.

Amazon ads for books, $600 a month plus ad spend
Amazon's help page on advertising for KDP books is worth reading before you spend anything. Amazon Ads put a book in prominent placements in the store, on a budget you set. Sponsored Products ads appear in shopping results and on product detail pages; Sponsored Brands can show several books or an author, or run video ads. Sponsored Products are cost-per-click, so you pay only when a customer clicks, and you choose the bid and the budget. New campaigns go through a moderation review first.
Amazon itself says a strong detail page helps convert clicks into sales. So ads come after the store page work, small first, with a monthly report in plain numbers. The $600 is our management fee; the ad spend goes to the platform and stays yours to set. Ads amplify a book that's ready to sell and rarely rescue one that isn't. We won't quote click prices or typical returns; they'd be guesses.
Press release and list, $650
We write the release and send it to a named regional and trade list rather than a scattergun. It gets sent; it doesn't guarantee a story. The craft is on our press release writing services page.
Not sure which of these your ebook needs?
Send us the title, the price you have in mind and the release date, and we'll tell you what to buy first and what to skip.
What ebook marketing can't do
It can't guarantee sales, bestseller status, rankings, reviews or a Kindle Unlimited readership. Amazon controls the store. We don't buy reviews or offer anything that could put a book's account at risk.
It can put an accurate page in front of readers likely to want that book, get early readers into the file, and run small measured ads.
A test for any provider, us included: ask what the money buys week by week, and who reports on it. If the cover, description or edit is the real problem, we'll say so before we quote any marketing. We sign an NDA before work starts, and the fee is fixed.

What ebook marketing costs
Listing and metadata is $350 per book, the launch plan $750, the advance reader team $900, the press release and list $650, and advertising management $600 a month plus ad spend. Most books need one or two, not all five.
Here's arithmetic from those published prices, not a quote. A listing fix ($350) plus a launch plan ($750) comes to $1,100 for one book. Add the advance reader team ($900) and it's $2,000. Ads are budgeted apart. We do not sell five figure launch packages. See every rate we charge.

How it works
Store page first, readers next, ads last.
A dated calendar, then plain monthly numbers for ads.
We recommend; you decide.
Why a publisher, not an agency
We edit, design and publish books, so our Kindle page advice comes from people who've made the file. Bought alongside production, marketing gets the book's one team of writer, editor and project manager. We turn work down when it isn't the right next step, and you pay only for the stages your book needs. Our full publishing services are there if you want the whole book handled.

Who this is for, and who it isn't
It's for authors with an ebook out or about to be, a modest budget and one job to do, including those who published elsewhere. It isn't for anyone wanting a guaranteed bestseller or a five figure campaign.

Questions we get asked
How much does it cost to hire an ebook marketer?
It depends on the job. Our published rates are $350 for a listing fix, $750 for a launch plan, $900 for an advance reader team, $650 for a press release and list, and $600 a month plus ad spend for ads. Most books need one or two.
What is the best way to promote my ebook?
Start with the store page, because every other effort sends readers there: cover, description, categories, keywords and price. Then give early readers the file before launch. Ads come after the page is right. Our guide on how to market a book covers the rest.
Can I pay someone to market my ebook?
Yes, and it's worth paying for a defined job, not a promise. Ask what the money buys week by week and who reports on it. We don't sell five figure launch packages; we sell listed jobs at fixed fees.
How many ebooks do I need to sell to make $100,000?
Divide $100,000 by what you earn per sale: list price times your royalty option, less delivery costs. KDP shows an estimate before you publish. No honest answer exists without your price, so use our royalty calculator.
Is selling 3,000 copies of a book good?
It depends on the genre, the price and the format, and we won't quote a benchmark we can't source. For many independent books it's a serious number, and a goal you can plan toward, not something any provider can promise.
Is KDP Select worth it for marketing?
It depends on whether you want your ebook committed to Amazon for now. Select is a free 90-day program that includes Kindle Unlimited and opens the door to promotions. Read its requirements on KDP first, then weigh the choice with us.
Can you guarantee sales, reviews or a bestseller ranking?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Sales, rankings and reviews depend on readers and on Amazon, and no vendor controls either. What we promise is the work listed in the price, done carefully and as described.
What price should I set for my ebook?
KDP's 70% royalty option now covers $2.99 to $12.99 on Amazon.com, with $2.99 the minimum. Price is a signal about the book, so weigh royalty against reach. We advise on price during the listing job, and the final call is always yours.
