Ghostwriting service reviews from our authors
Ghostwriting here means a writer interviews you and drafts the book in your voice. Your name goes on the cover.
“Working with the Western Reflections Publishing team was a great experience. I came to them with a book idea but needed help structuring it into a finished manuscript. They took the time to learn my objectives right away, communication stayed consistent throughout, and the writers did a great job keeping my voice while improving the structure and flow. I was impressed by how well the finished manuscript reflected my vision.”

Editing and formatting reviews
An editor reads for voice and structure before any grammar. Line editing, copy editing and proofreading come after that.
“I'm beyond impressed with the editing team at Western Reflections Publishing. They didn't just fix my grammar; they truly understood my voice and helped refine the narrative flow of my book. The transformation from my initial draft to the final version is incredible. If you want your book to stand out, this is the place to go.”

Their developmental editing brought new clarity to my manuscript, and the formatting team delivered a polished, professional final version. The team's support and clear communication made the entire publishing experience easy to navigate.”

Publishing reviews
Publishing here means the stages your book needs: editing, formatting and distribution. You pay only for those, because we don't sell packages.
“I've published multiple titles, but working with Western Reflections Publishing for my latest release was the smoothest experience yet. From editing to marketing to distribution, their team was professional and responsive. It's clear they truly care about their authors' success, and the best part was that they valued my input and let me take the lead.”

“I honestly didn't expect the publishing process to feel this smooth, but Western Reflections Publishing made it surprisingly easy. Their editing and formatting teams were thorough and attentive, and they guided me step by step. I felt supported the whole way, which gave me the confidence to finally share my book with the world.”

How to read ghostwriting service reviews, ours or anyone's
A glowing paragraph tells you little. A few habits tell you more.
Look for specifics
Good reviews say what changed: which stage the book was at, what the editor or writer did, how the team kept in touch. "Great company!" could be about anyone.
Distrust sameness
Be wary of near-identical praise, reviewers with no names, or a pile of ratings that all arrive in one week. The FTC rule on fake reviews now prohibits faked and bought reviews, which is useful to know when you judge any company.
Check elsewhere, then ask for a book
Read what people say on a site the company doesn't control, and ask to see a finished book. Don't expect star ratings from a business's own page either: Google's guidelines on review snippets generally don't give stars to reviews a business collects about itself. For red flags, our guide to publishing scams and the questions that expose them is a good place to start.
How we handle the reviews on this page
We print each review exactly as it was written. We don't trim a quote to make it sound better, and the name shown is the one the author gave us.
The FTC rules on endorsements and testimonials require that an endorsement reflect the honest opinion of the person giving it, and we'd rather meet that standard than argue about it. If you'd like to compare our reviews with a finished book, the books we've published are open to browse.

Before you hire a ghostwriter: what to ask
These four questions work with any company. Here's how we answer them:
- Who owns the book? You do. Copyright, royalties and the manuscript are yours, and we sign an NDA before work starts.
- What will it cost? The rates are on our pricing page, and the fee is fixed once we've read a sample.
- How do payments work? Ghostwriting is paid in stages against delivered chapters. We don't ask for the full project fee up front.
- What if the book isn't ready? We say so, and tell you which earlier stage it needs.

Questions we get asked
How much do ghostwriting services cost?
Ghostwriting is quoted between $0.20 and $0.32 a word, or as a flat project fee. Where a book lands depends on research, how many interviews it takes and the deadline. A short book starts from $6,000 and a memoir from $12,000, as listed on our pricing page.
How can I tell if a ghostwriting company is legit?
Look for a real address and phone number, ask to see finished books, and read reviews on a platform the company doesn't run. Be wary of anyone who charges to read your manuscript.
Are the reviews on this page real?
Every review here is printed word for word, with the name the author gave us and the service it's about. Nothing is shortened or reworded.
Whose name goes on a ghostwritten book?
Yours. The writer works from your interviews and notes, and your name goes on the cover. We also don't publish who we've written for, so a ghostwritten book stays your book.
Do you take the rights to my book?
No. Your copyright, royalties and manuscript stay with you, and nothing you sign with us takes ownership of the work.
Can I use ChatGPT as a ghostwriter?
You can try, but a chat tool doesn't interview you, doesn't know your life and answers to nobody for its facts. The US Copyright Office has said prompts alone don't make you the author of the output.
Do you offer affordable ghostwriting?
Our rates are published, we don't sell packages, and you pay only for the stages your book needs. What counts as affordable depends mostly on length. The numbers are on the pricing page.
What happens after I get in touch?
A person reads your sample or your brief and tells you what the book needs, including an honest no if it's work we can't do well. If we can help, you get a free quote inside 24 hours of asking, and an NDA is signed before anything is shared.
Your book could be the next one here
Send the manuscript, or send the idea. We read it, tell you what the book needs, and send a free quote inside 24 hours.
