Minta Forever

Minta Forever is a historical novel set in the early 1900s. It follows nineteen-year-old Ella, who is trapped in an abusive marriage to a man named Edmund and lives every day in fear of him. The description calls him devious and monstrous, and says she knew he would likely kill her someday. He made one mistake, though: he thought he had married a woman who could be easily controlled.

When life with Edmund becomes unbearable, Ella devises a plan of escape. A 2025 Durango Herald notice about the author says she turned her research into one-room schoolhouses of southwest La Plata County into a historical novel series, told through the eyes of a one-room schoolteacher.
