Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer

Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer is an American poet associated with Colorado. Our author directory lists her, but no book under her name is on record in our catalogue yet, so this page rests on outside sources and says only what they support.
About Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer
According to Wikipedia, Trommer earned a bachelor's degree in English from Colorado College in 1992 and a master's degree in English language and linguistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994. She served as Poet Laureate of San Miguel County, Colorado, from 2006 to 2010, and the Telluride Institute named her Poet Laureate of Colorado's Western Slope for 2015 to 2017.
The same article lists a run of poetry collections from 2000 to 2024. Among them is If You Listen: Poems and Photographs of the San Juan Mountains, dated 2000 and credited to Western Reflections Press, with photographer Eileen Benjamin. That book is not in our current library data under her name, which may explain why her directory entry shows no books. Her later collections name other publishers, including Hush in 2020 and The Unfolding in 2024.
Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer is listed in the Western Reflections author directory and the books under this name are not yet on the site. If this is your page, send us the details and we will add them. In the meantime, the library carries the rest of the catalogue, from regional history to memoir and fiction.
What the books share
Going by the names in her Wikipedia list, some of her collections pair poems with photographs or drawings of a place: the San Juan Mountains in If You Listen, and the Four Corners region in Intimate Landscape, made with photographer Claude Steelman. We have not read these books for this page, so we say nothing further about their content.
