About Paul Reddin and Don MacKendrick
Colorado Mesa University's library guide to the Journal of the Western Slope says history professor Paul Reddin conceived the journal. It was first published jointly by the Mesa College Historical Society and the Alpha Gamma Epsilon chapter of Phi Alpha Theta. Don MacKendrick wrote the editor's introduction to the first issue and the farewell in the Winter 2002 issue, when he had become a professor emeritus. The guide says both men served on the editorial board for all 63 issues of the journal, which ran for seventeen years.
We have no further biography for either man and will not guess at one.
What the books share
Our record for the one book the two men share is brief, so we describe it only by its title, its History category and its description. Both names are connected with a student and staff history publication from western Colorado, and the book's title points to the same region.
